I can't wait until the NCAA Tournament starts. Now here are my predictions for the tournament.
First, I'll start with the West. UCLA is my choice to beat Mississippi Valley, State, BYU will beat Texas A&M, Drake will beat Western Kentucky, Conneticut will beat San Diego, Baylor will beat Purdue, Xavier will beat Georgia, Arizona will beat West Virginia, and Duke will beat Belmont, in my opinion.
Next, the South. Memphis will obviously beat UT Arlington, Mississippi State will top Oregon, Michigan State will beat Temple, Pittsburgh over Oral Roberts, Marquette beats Kentucky, Cornell over Stanford, Miami will beat Saint Mary's, and my team, the! Texas Longhorns will win against Austin Peay.
Now, for the East. North Carolina will top 16th seeded Mt. Saint Mary's, once they beat Coppin State. Eric Gordon will come up big for Indiana and they'll crush Arkansas, Notre Dame Irish over George Mason, Washington State over Winthdrop, Oklahoma over St. Joseph's, Louisville over Boise State, Butler beats South Alabama, and one of my favorite schools, Tennessee, will beat American.
And lastly, the Midwest. Kansas will obviously beat the 16 seed, as I have on all of the other 1 seeds, Kentucky State over UNLV, Villanova over Clemson, Vanderbilt over Siena, USC, another one of my favorites, will cream Kansas State, though they have future NBA star Michael Beasley, Wisconsin will beat Colorado State Fullerton, Gonzaga will win against Davidson, and Georgetown will beat UMBC.
Now for ! the Second Round. UCLA will unfortunately beat BYU, Drake over! Conneti cut, Xavier over Baylor, and Duke over Arizona.
Memphis will beat Mississippi State, Michigan State will beat Pittsburgh, Marquette over Stanford, and the Longhorns over Miami.
North Carolina tops Indiana, Washington State over Notre Dame, Louisville over Oklahoma, and Tennessee will beat Butler.
Kansas will beat Kentucky State, Vanderbilt will beat Villanova, the Trojans over Wisconsin, and Georgetown will beat Gonzaga.
And now for the Regionals. UCLA over Drake and Duke will beat Xavier.
Memphis tops Michigan State, and Texas will be over Marquette.
North Carolina over Washington State and Tennessee will top Louisville.
And for the Midwest now. Kansas over Vanderb! ilt, and USC over Georgetown.
So, as you can see, only one team doesn't have a 1 or 2 seed, the USC Trojans. Why? Well, I think OJ Mayo will step up and crush Georgetown.
Now for the next round. Duke will beat UCLA, Memphis will beat Texas, North Carolina will win over Tennessee, and Kansas will beat the Trojans.
And now the Final Four. If you noticed, 3/4 of those teams are 1 seeded teams. I have Duke winning against UCLA as the only 2 seed.
So now I say Memphis over Duke and the Tar Heels will beat Kansas.
And the Finals have 2- 1 seeds. Memphis and North Carolina. But the prediction I made on my bracket was that North Carolina will win the whole thing and Tyler Hansbrough will win MVP. And he will get the first or second pick in the NBA Draft this su! mmer.
The thing ! I laughe d about was that both teams that made it to the Finals last year are not even in the tournament.
It looked like Greg Oden and Mike Conley were the Buckeyes and Joakim Noah, Corey Brewer, and Al Horford were the Gators.
The same will happen to many other of the teams in the tournament.
